Learning - Conferences, workshops and training
The objective of our research work is to feed back our findings, delivered using the most practical methods for our clients.
Intelligence research – learning together
Our research is presented to the Intelligence membership in a number of different ways:
- Conferences - each January and July, we host one-day conferences that communicate the findings of the session’s three to four topics. These conferences are attended by members from a mix of specialisations and we promote active participation through Q&A and round table discussions.
- Focus groups – smaller groups of members, from a mixture of firms, work through the detail of one of the latest research papers with the author.
- In-house presentations - we tailor the findings of the research so that we can answer the “what does this mean for me” question for each individual member firm.
We also run ad-hoc workshops for Intelligence members designed to tackle the immediate challenges facing the industry. Workshops have included:
- Managing Counterparty Risk: A year on
- Fair Value Pricing
- SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice)
Bespoke training courses
We create bespoke courses which can vary between two hours and two days, depending on your requirements. Recent courses include:
- An introduction to an investment management company
- Performance measurement for non-performance staff
Conferences
We use the research work as the foundation for our public conference presentations - we are also often asked to moderate and chair events. Some of recent conferences include:
- Customisation, Globalisation, Automation. TSAM 2010, London. March 2010 – Peter Ellis
