Simon Stratford

Simon heads the Systems practice and our leading IT Value Service (ITVS). This service now has participants across the globe including firms in UK, USA, Canada, South Africa and Australia with combined assets under management in excess of £3.5 trillion. The survey looks in detail at the IT spend, effectiveness and plans of investment management companies' IT departments.

Simon has 16 years IT experience in the investment management industry and prior to joining Investit, spent 9 years at Henderson Global Investors where he was their Global Director of IT. At Henderson Simon led the team that developed the IT strategy following the acquisition of Henderson by AMP and subsequent merger with AMPAM. Simon also played a key role in the separation of front and back-office business and IT functions necessary to create a new back office services company. Prior to working for Henderson, Simon was Systems Integration Director at Citymax - a software house subsidiary of Credit Suisse. Simon gained invaluable experience of early off-shoring with a third of his development team based in Cairo.
