Outside the heady whirl of consultancy Dave has a sideline in “property development”, or specifically the renovation of old listed buildings. Unfortunately even Sarah Beeney could not avoid this becoming a fruitless exercise financially. It does, however, give Dave endless opportunities to bore his friends and family with tales of weekend exploits. Dave’s grasp of Eastern European languages, project management and tea making skills are also honed to perfection.
