Alistair Byrne

Alistair is a principal in the investment practice at Investit. He works with a broad range of investment management firms on investment process and product development projects, and market research. He has particular expertise in pension fund investment and defined contribution pension schemes.

Alistair began his career in investment management at AEGON Asset Management, where he was investment strategist and head of equity research. He has also held academic positions at the University of Edinburgh and Strathclyde business schools and has run his own financial services consultancy business. Alistair has a PhD in finance from the University of Strathclyde and is a CFA charterholder. His research has been published in a number of academic and professional journals, including the Financial Analysts Journal. He is also a visiting fellow at the Pensions Institute at Cass Business School.
