Evaluation, evolution and communication

This is a three step process to help investment management firms make more sales. We typically work on products that have good performance, but which are not reaching the desired level of sales. We can also work with teams and products that are at an earlier stage of development to make sure they set off down the right path, and with teams experiencing difficult times.

Evaluation
Using a well proven project structure we show our clients how a potential buyer might assess the investment process. We understand the selection criteria of investment consultants and fund of funds managers and show firms how they will be judged by these intermediaries.

Evolution
In the light of our evaluation we make recommendations about how the investment approach might be developed.

Communication
We work with investment managers and sales and marketing colleagues to create a set of marketing messages and investment process descriptions that accurately capture the competitive advantages of the investment approach.

We have run over 80 of these projects across the range of asset classes and investment styles. We have worked with teams in the UK, Continental Europe, the United States, and Japan. Our experience means that clients benefit from an efficient and effective process that quickly gets to the key issues and maps out a path to more sales. The balance of evaluation, evolution and communication work can be tailored to the client’s situation and requirements.
